Where we ship

Bookmark & Co currently ships online orders to addresses within the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland). If we add international delivery in future, we’ll update this page with the countries we ship to and any additional information you’ll need to know before ordering.

Delivery services

Royal Mail Tracked 48 (our standard service)

  • Most orders are sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48.
  • Royal Mail aim to deliver Tracked 48 parcels in 2–3 working days after dispatch.
  • This service includes end‑to‑end tracking and a delivery confirmation scan.
  • Tracking details will be emailed to you once your order has been dispatched.

Smaller / letterbox‑friendly items

A small number of very light or low‑value items (for example, select flat or letterbox‑friendly products) may be sent using an alternative Royal Mail service.

Regardless of the exact service used, we always choose options that we believe are reliable and appropriate for the value of your order.

Processing and dispatch times

We’re a small business and we take care to pack your literary gifts thoughtfully.

  • Standard orders: We usually dispatch orders within 1–2 working days (Monday–Friday, excluding UK bank holidays).
  • Personalised items and made‑to‑order products: These may take a little longer to prepare. Any extended lead times will be clearly stated on the product page.
  • During particularly busy periods (such as November–December and key gifting dates), dispatch may take slightly longer. If we expect delays, we’ll make this clear on the website and/or in your order confirmation.

Once your parcel has been handed to Royal Mail, delivery times are outside our direct control, but we’ll always do our best to help if something goes wrong.

Shipping costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your order and delivery address.

From time to time, we may run free‑delivery or reduced‑delivery promotions. These will be clearly advertised on our website and/or social media, and the relevant terms will be shown at checkout.

Pre‑orders and back‑orders

If an item in your basket is on pre‑order or temporarily out of stock:

  • We’ll usually ship your order once all items are ready to send together, so you receive everything in one parcel.
  • If we need to send items separately, we’ll let you know by email and confirm any additional charges (if applicable) before shipping.

Details about pre‑order dates or back‑order timings will be shown on the relevant product page wherever possible.

Packaging

We aim to pack orders in a way that feels special to open while still being practical and protective in transit.

  • Where possible, we use recyclable or reusable packaging materials.
  • Gift boxes and presentation details may vary slightly from photographs, but we always keep the overall look and feel consistent with the Bookmark & Co brand.

If you’re sending a gift directly to someone else, you may be able to add a gift message at checkout (where available); we’ll include this inside the parcel without prices.

Delivery issues, delays and missing parcels

Delays

Royal Mail delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. Very occasionally, parcels may take a little longer, especially during busy times (Christmas, strikes, severe weather, etc.).

We kindly ask that you allow a few extra working days beyond the estimated timeframe before contacting us about a late parcel, unless your tracking information indicates a specific issue.

Incorrect addresses

Please double‑check your delivery address at checkout.

  • If you notice a mistake after placing your order, contact us as soon as possible with your order number and the correct address.
  • If your parcel has already been dispatched, we may not be able to change the address.
  • We’re not responsible for parcels that cannot be delivered due to an incorrect or incomplete address supplied at checkout.

Lost or damaged parcels

If your order arrives damaged, or appears to be lost in transit:

  1. Please contact us as soon as possible with your order number.
  2. For damaged items, include clear photographs of the parcel and the damaged contents.
  3. We’ll liaise with Royal Mail where necessary and work with you to arrange a suitable solution (such as a replacement or refund), in line with our returns policy and Royal Mail’s investigation process.

Click & collect / local delivery

If we introduce a local collection or delivery option (for example, from a market stall or pop‑up), full details will be provided on the relevant product pages and at checkout.

Changes to this policy

We may update this shipping policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, carriers or pricing. The latest version will always be available on this page.
